"Argonne's Magellan Cloud Computing Research Project"

A new $32 million program funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will examine cloud computing as a cost-effective and energy-efficient computing paradigm for scientists to accelerate discoveries in a variety of disciplines. A major goal of the program is to explore whether cloud computing can help meet the overwhelming demand for mid-range scientific computing.
