Benoit Côté is a software developer in the Data Service and Workflows team at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility. His current role is to design, develop, and maintain services in order to support scientific applications at scale. Recently, his primary contributions have been to the ALCF Inference Service and the ALCF Facility API.
Benoit has a scientific background in the area of nuclear astrophysics. His research focused on building bridges between nuclear physics, astrophysics, and cosmology in order to better understand the cosmic origin of elements and isotopes.
Prior to joining the Argonne team, Benoit held research positions at the University of Victoria (Canada), the Konkoly Observatory (Hungary), and Michigan State University, and was an active member of the International Research Network for Nuclear Astrophysics (IReNA), the Joint Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics (JINA-CEE), and the Nucleosynthesis Grid (NuGrid) collaboration.
