A key part of the ALCF outreach mission is to promote our user community's research activities and scientific breakthroughs, and the unique resources and capabilities of the facility itself. In addition to the opportunities for facility users, ALCF staff produces interesting science articles, conducts facility tours, and participates in Laboratory open houses which are available to the general public.

An equally important outreach effort is our leadership and participation in events aimed at workforce development. We advertise a wide range of professional opportunities—spanning from summer internships to computational scientist positions—to colleges and organizations, participate in events such as 'SC Conference Series,' and host the annual 'Argonne Training Program on Extreme-Scale Computing (ATPESC)' program.
