Join us on November 5, 2025, for a webinar on leveraging the Julia programming language on ALCF's leadership-class systems, Polaris and Aurora. Argonne's Michel Schanen will present the current status and best practices for using Julia to accelerate scientific discovery on next-generation hardware.
Julia is a high-level, high-performance language well-suited for scientific and numerical computing on heterogeneous platforms. In this webinar, we will cover the capabilities of Julia's GPU programming ecosystem, provide instructions on how to implement and run Julia applications on both Polaris and Aurora, and provide our plans for accommodating Julia users at ALCF.
Michel Schanen is a Computer Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory, specializing in high-performance computing and the application of modern programming languages to scientific challenges. He is a key contributor to the effort of deploying and supporting Julia within the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility.
