Improving Your Application Performance with Intel VTune

Dmitry Prohorov
Seminar

As part of our continuing efforts to prepare researchers for Theta, the ALCF Many-Core Developer Sessions provide an opportunity to increase the dialogue between ALCF users and the developers of many-core systems and software.

On Wednesday, May 31, we will present a session on how to use the Intel VTune tool to improve your application performance on Intel Xeon Phi processors. The free, interactive videoconference will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (CDT).

Dmitry Prohorov of Intel Corporation will share his extensive knowledge of the design, implementation, and use of Intel VTune on many-core architectures, including the ALCF's Theta system. In addition, researchers from the Theta Early Science Program will discuss some performance challenges they have experienced thus far. The event will conclude with an open Q&A.
