Speed up photo-realistic rendering with Intel® Embree, an open source kernel framework for efficient and professional ray tracing on CPUs.
The demand for photo-realistic visualization spans a multitude of applications—AI, data science, industrial science, animation, product design, and tons more.
This session introduces Intel® Embree, a collection of high-performance ray tracing kernels optimized for photo-realistic rendering such as path tracing, global illumination, reflection and refraction, mirrors, materials, lights, and shadows.
You will learn how to:
- Set up the Cornell Box scene geometry test for Embree
- Set up different materials and lights, mirrors, reflections, and refractions
- Use Intel® oneAPI Threading Building Blocks (oneTBB) to parallelize your Embree code
- Use global illumination to reduce noise
Includes a demo.
Note: To get the most from this session, you should be familiar with rendering coding.
