This webinar will focus on OpenMP 4.5 and 5.0 features and it will consist of 3 segments. In the first part, a review of the fork-join OpenMP programming model will be presented. This review will be followed by an introductory overview of the tasking model. This will provide application developers with the necessary tools to go beyond the commonly used parallel loop.
In the second segment, a brief introduction to the OpenMP execution model and data environment for GPUs will be provided. The important basic OpenMP 4.5 constructs and concepts will be discussed as well.
Finally, in the last segment the OpenMP standard, 5.0 and its new constructs will be reviewed. OpenMP 5.0 was released in November 2018 and many new constructs was introduced. We will present several important features in OpenMP 5.0 that can improve usability and offload flexibility as well as extend the existing functionality in OpenMP 4.5.
